I feel as if I’m stuck in the “in between”.
I feel as if I’m stuck in the “in between”.
Whoever invented Valentine’s Day was one seriously twisted human being. I shall elaborate.
V Day is an entire day dedicated to love. Not just any ordinary love, to the undeniably affectionate love between two people. But really, how and why is Valentine’s Day different from any other? “Singles” may gag at the hand-holding, lip-smacking, starry-eyed “lovers” that surround them on this very day, but in reality it’s all in their heads. This mushy stuff happens 24/7! And as for the chocolates and the flowers and the cards…I personally just don’t get it. Sure, I think it’s cute when a guy gets a girl a gift for no apparent reason, but on Valentine’s Day this is not exactly the case. I think it’s dumb that guys are forced to buy their “significant other” a present for Valentine’s Day, when it’s often the only day of the year they choose to do so. How is that, in any way, romantic?
So really, Valentine’s Day was, in fact, meant to torture those of us who are “alone”. From the very moment we wake up and look out the window, we are reminded of this.
Being single on Valentine’s Day is a lot like being Jewish on Christmas, except for the fact that we don’t have our own holiday to celebrate.
Today was a good day.
I think I’m finally genuinely happy again.

A girl can dream, can’t she?
If I’m being honest, I don’t want to get over you.
I dislike being used.
Not exactly sure about this regretful, brooding stage I’m currently going through.
I’m so sick of college. I want to regress.
